    Barry: It looks like you are living in Iceland, not England! Yikes! Well, we aren't having much snow here in San Jose, but if you have to travel out here this winter, bring your raincoat because they just announced that we are in for a huge El Nino! Last time I was up to the top of my Wellington Boots in mud in the front yard! PL

    Well it has been cold and somewhat snowy - in fact it still is. This is then first time that I have seen a photo showing the whole of Britain covered in snow. I am off to Boston tomorrow, Sunday, when the daytime high is meant to be -7 Celsius, 19 Fahrenheit!
