It would seem that the Daily Telegraph no longer trusts its readers to comment on the days events in a rational manner. There were 350 comments on the "Letters to the Telegraph" on Friday. Many of these were related to the tragic murder of the soldier in Woolwich. Some of the comments were hard hitting but in the main they were thoughtful comments by ordinary people on how they saw the murder of the soldier and what should be done to prevent further attacks. Now they have all gone. It makes me wonder why they are so frightened of what the man in the street is thinking and saying.
Yet the press wants our support when it is attacked by politicians.
I really do wonder what our country is coming to.
