It would seem that the Daily Telegraph no longer trusts its readers to comment on the days events in a rational manner. There were 350 comments on the "Letters to the Telegraph" on Friday. Many of these were related to the tragic murder of the soldier in Woolwich. Some of the comments were hard hitting but in the main they were thoughtful comments by ordinary people on how they saw the murder of the soldier and what should be done to prevent further attacks. Now they have all gone. It makes me wonder why they are so frightened of what the man in the street is thinking and saying.
Yet the press wants our support when it is attacked by politicians.
I really do wonder what our country is coming to.

Ray Manzarek - RIP
You have all probably heard the news that Ray Manzarek, keyboard player with The Doors, has lost his battle against cancer and died on 21st May. The Doors are one of my favourite bands and I remember Ray as a great musician. Click here to hear him play.

Dinner and Dance in Camberley
We went over to Camberely and went to a dinner and dance with our old college friends Martin, Julia John and Maria. It was a splendid evening with a great tribute band playing "our" songs of the sixties.

Skydive Photos and Video
Some "strange" people have asked to see my skydive photos and video. They are posted on Facebook; but I have been reminded that not everybody uses Facebook - some folk do not even use computers!
